Agent FAQ

Any client that speaks streamable HTTP MCP and can complete an OAuth flow: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and Cursor are all confirmed. See Connect your agent for the exact connection string.

No. get_billing_status and list_plans are both read-only — checking your plan or comparing prices is fine, but starting a trial or taking payment only happens on /app/billing. See Plans and pricing.

No tool on the owner MCP server reads, lists or creates API keys. Keys are created and shown once from /app/api-keys in the dashboard only.

Why does an import get staged instead of going live right away?

Section titled “Why does an import get staged instead of going live right away?”

import_menu validates what your agent extracted and returns findings — missing prices, missing calories, suggested allergens, near-duplicates, translation gaps — for you to check before anything touches your menu. Your agent applies it with confirm_import only once you’ve approved the corrections; publishing is a separate step after that. See Import a spreadsheet for the same review flow from a file import.

How does Instagram import work — can it read someone else’s account?

Section titled “How does Instagram import work — can it read someone else’s account?”

The agent browses the Instagram account you point it at itself; Qaema never connects to Instagram. The prompt the server offers for this explicitly tells the agent to use only the account you confirm is yours — never a competitor’s or a random one.

/app/activity in the dashboard lists every write, filterable to agents only, with a plain-language summary and the exact before/after values. Your agent can read the same log with get_change_log. See Undo and the change log.

Go to /app/connections. It lists every app and agent with access to your account, when it connected, and its scopes; click Revoke next to any of them to cut it off immediately, even mid-session.

My agent says “missing scope” — what does that mean?

Section titled “My agent says “missing scope” — what does that mean?”

Every tool call checks the scopes your client was granted at connection time. A call outside them fails with missing scope <scope> — reconnect the agent and grant it <scope> — reconnect through /app/connections or your client’s connector settings and accept the scope this time.

Yes. /app/connections lists every connected client separately, each with its own scopes and its own revoke button, and each shows up under its own name in the change log — so two agents (say, Claude for imports and ChatGPT for daily edits) never get confused with each other.

What are the docs tools (list_docs, search_docs, get_doc) for?

Section titled “What are the docs tools (list_docs, search_docs, get_doc) for?”

They let your agent read this knowledge base directly instead of guessing: search_docs finds the right page for a question like “how do custom domains work,” list_docs lists everything available in a language, and get_doc returns one page’s full text by slug. Useful when you ask your agent how something works rather than asking it to change something.
