Venue settings

/app/settings holds your venue’s name and description in both languages, plus contact details: phone, WhatsApp, email, address line, Wi-Fi name and password, and a Google Place ID (which turns on the review link in Feedback). The public page’s WhatsApp button uses your WhatsApp number, falling back to your phone number when WhatsApp is left blank. Reservation, pickup and follow-us WhatsApp and phone buttons use these numbers too, unless you set a different number for one of them on Links. Clearing the venue phone removes the reservation, pickup and follow-us buttons that were using it. If you gave a city when you signed up, the address line starts with it; save to keep it.

Set opening and closing times per day of the week; leaving a day blank hides it on the public page. A closing time earlier than the opening time is read as past midnight. A day can have two opening times — tap + Add a second time for a lunch and a dinner service. The two must not overlap, counting a time that runs past midnight. Same hours every day copies Sunday’s times, both of them, to every day.

Currency is fixed to SAR. Set your VAT rate (0–100%) and whether your listed prices already include it, and pick which of Arabic and English your menu shows — at least one is required. Choose your country and the time zone follows it; Other time zone shows the full list if yours differs.

Name, contact, hours, and money and languages share one Save. A bar appears at the bottom once you change something, with Save and Discard. Only the sections you changed are written, each as its own entry on the Activity page, so one can be undone without the others. If a section can’t be saved — two opening times that overlap, say — the others still save and the bar names the one that didn’t. Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks first.

Your public address ({slug}.qaema.ai) can be changed to 3–40 lowercase letters, digits and hyphens. This is not undoable — there’s no Undo entry for it on the Activity page — and the old address stops working immediately, though any printed QR codes keep working because they encode a permanent redirect, not the address itself. Changing the slug also republishes the venue and re-points an active custom domain automatically.

Deleting is permanent: the venue, its menu and its QR codes are gone, and the address becomes available for anyone to claim. It also stops any API keys and any custom domain from serving the venue, and frees the address so a new venue could reuse it.

API keys for the Availability API are managed separately at /app/api-keys, not on this page.

Update our WiFi password and set our VAT rate to 15%

calls update_venue with contact.wifi_password and settings.vat_rate — it also covers name, description, the rest of contact (phone, whatsapp, email), address, hours and google_place_id, the same fields as this page. Objects merge onto what’s already stored; add dry_run: true to see the diff before it’s applied. Changing the address (the slug) and deleting the venue have no tool at all — both are dashboard-only, on this page.

Amounts use the new Saudi riyal sign (⃁), including menus, checkout and receipts. Payment records and accounting exports retain the ISO currency code SAR.

Use the Venue selector in the dashboard header/sidebar and select Switch. The dashboard starts at the selected venue’s overview; its menu, settings, history and integrations use that venue. POS’s Menu link returns to the selected register’s venue, subject to your Qaema account access.

Select Add venue to create another venue or activate a menu for an existing venue. Your plan’s venue limit still applies; the page links to Billing if you need more capacity. After creation, import or start a blank menu for the new venue.

The venue preference is shared by tabs in this browser. A form already open in another tab retains its original venue when submitted, so switching does not apply its changes to the wrong branch. Check the venue shown before continuing work. Staff can switch between their organisation’s permitted work screens; adding venues requires owner or manager access.
