Marking items sold out
Marking sold out
Section titled “Marking sold out”You can take an item (or a whole section) out of stock from two places: inline in the item row at /app/menu, or from /app/sold-out — a stripped-down list built for a phone at the counter or pass. Both call the same live availability write, and switching an item back on clears the sold-out state immediately.
Duration presets and auto-restore
Section titled “Duration presets and auto-restore”Marking something sold out opens a sheet with four choices: Tonight (back at 23:59 today, Riyadh time), 2 hours from now, Tomorrow (back at 11:00 the next day, Riyadh time), or Until I say, which stays out until someone flips it back by hand. Riyadh time is treated as a fixed UTC+3 offset, since Saudi Arabia doesn’t observe daylight saving. Nothing runs on a schedule to restore an item — the moment the chosen time passes, it simply shows as available again the next time anyone reads the menu.
Install /app/sold-out on a phone
Section titled “Install /app/sold-out on a phone”/app/sold-out doubles as the dashboard’s installable start page: open it in a phone’s browser and use “Add to Home Screen” to get a one-tap icon that opens straight into the sold-out list, skipping the rest of the dashboard.
Propagation to the public page
Section titled “Propagation to the public page”A sold-out toggle is a live change — it doesn’t wait for a publish. It updates within moments, and the public menu’s availability check is cached for 30 seconds, so a diner scanning a table’s QR code sees the change inside that window.
With your agent
Section titled “With your agent”The lamb ouzi just ran out, bring it back tomorrow morning
calls set_item_availability with until resolved to that time, and takes effect live the same as toggling it by hand. Ask for list_unavailable_items to see everything currently out, when each one is due back, and who took it out.
