Start blank

No menu photo, no spreadsheet — just build it directly. This is the slowest of the three starting points, but it gives you full control from the first item.

Signing up walks you into a short setup: an English name (required), an Arabic name (optional), a city, and your venue’s address — the slug that becomes yourname.qaema.ai.

The slug must be 3–40 lowercase letters, digits or hyphens, with no leading or trailing hyphen, and can’t be one of a short list of reserved names (app, mcp, docs, admin, and similar platform words). You can change it later from settings; the same rule applies to a rename.

From the dashboard, open the menu editor and add a section, then an item inside it — name, price, and the rest of an item’s details. See the menu editor section of these docs for the full walkthrough of sections, items, allergens and badges.

Publishing takes your draft and makes it the live menu. It writes the published snapshot to your venue’s public menu page — {slug}.qaema.ai — and to the fast key-value store the public menu and its availability endpoint read from, so the change appears immediately rather than after a rebuild. Unpublishing (or a later publish) replaces or removes those same entries.

With a menu live, two things are worth doing next: pick a theme so the public page matches your brand (see the theming section of these docs), and generate QR codes for your tables, pickup counter or delivery flyers (see the QR section).
