Prepare pickup settings

Owners and managers can open Setup → Pickup setup in the Qaema workspace. A connected register also links to the same owner page from Pickup setup. Sign in with your Qaema account if asked; a register PIN does not grant owner access.

What is available

This is preparation for the new Pickup service. Saving settings does not enable guest orders, take payments or send messages. The page explains this before you save. Your existing menu and register flows continue as configured.

How orders reach you shows what your menu offers guests right now: pickup off, a WhatsApp message, your ordering site or a phone call. That is set in one place, the Pickup card on Links & pickup; choose Change in Links & pickup to edit it. Straight-to-the-register ordering is described but not available yet.

Set default drinks and food preparation times, optional category defaults, the order-ahead window and ready-order hold time. Category fields left blank use the general defaults. Auto will use recorded item preparation times once kitchen integration is available; until then, defaults apply. Manual uses your configured defaults.

Choose counter or car collection and optional pickup hours. Car collection needs a numbered bay or permission to describe the car. At least one collection method is required. Shelf collection is shown for connected POS and will require payment before collection when ordering is available.

Pickup hours follow venue opening hours, ending ten minutes before closing, unless you save custom windows. A closing time earlier than opening means the next day. Windows cannot overlap, including overnight into the next week. Add separate windows for split opening hours.

Add directions in English and Arabic. You can save and return later. Use the language button to review the layout in either language; save first or confirm discarding edits when changing pages.

Recover from a problem

• Invalid values: the error summary receives focus and links to fields needing correction. Your entries remain available.
• Offline: keep the page open. Edits remain in this page and Save is unavailable until the connection returns. Unsaved edits are not stored after closing or reloading.
• Save could not be confirmed: retry the same save. Editing is temporarily locked so the retry can safely check the original request, including a save that reached the server before the connection failed.
• Another tab or manager saved changes: your draft remains visible. Review it before choosing Load latest saved settings; confirm discarding it only when ready. A stale save never overwrites the newer version.
• Session ended: choose Sign in again to open another tab. Return to the original tab and retry with your edits intact.
• Access removed or venue unavailable: return to the workspace. Only an owner or manager of that venue can read or change its pickup settings.
